A logo is a central aspect of business branding, so it’s really important to make a logo that truly represents your brand and its values. Here are some key factors for non-designers to keep in mind when creating a company logo with Shopify’s logo creator:

Simple: less is more for professional looking logos. A busy logo may turn away customers, especially if they have to take time to figure out what it says or means.

Appropriate: use icons and slogans that are relevant to the product or service you offer, otherwise you may engage the wrong audience.

Memorable: today’s marketplace is more competitive than ever. To stand out, your logo should be unique.

Versatile: logos are typically used in a number of different places (online, print, media) so you need to ensure your logo is versatile and mobile-friendly, so it looks good across a variety of platforms.

Once you’ve created a logo with Logo Maker, you can add your free logo design to the following places:

Website: Add a logo to your website’s top navigation and footer.

Business cards: Build brand recognition within your industry and potential customers by adding a new logo to your business cards. You can give away business cards with your new logo front-and-center at networking events, conferences, and more.

Product packaging: If you ship physical products to customers, you can place your own logo on shipping boxes, product packaging, or flyer inserts.

Company swag: Your logo design can be added to company swag to encourage employees to promote your company on their clothing or on any other promotional products.

Social media: Upload your unique logo design as the profile picture on all your social media accounts to help promote your brand and make it recognizable.

Ads: Whether it’s a physical banner for a conference booth or an online ad, include your logo design to familiarize people with your brand identity.
